Largest MLSs in the U.S.: The Biggest Multiple Listing Services

By MLS Daily News Staff · Updated · Corrections

The U.S. has fewer than 500 MLSs, and a small group of very large regional MLSs serves a big share of the country's agents. Here are the biggest.

How many MLSs are there?

T3 Sixty counted 484 MLSs in the U.S. as of December 31, 2025, down from 514 at the end of 2024 and about 850 in 2015.[2] RESO also reports tracking 484 U.S. MLS systems.[3]

The largest MLSs: the 19 "Mega+" MLSs

The 2026 Real Estate Almanac groups MLSs into size tiers. Its top tier, "Mega+," covers MLSs with 20,000 or more subscribers; it lists these 19, shown here alphabetically.[1]

Which MLS is the biggest?

In T3 Sixty's 2025 ranking, Bright MLS was the largest with about 101,100 subscribers, followed by CRMLS with about 99,000 and Stellar MLS with 81,453, according to Real Estate News.[4] Subscriber counts change as MLSs merge and agents leave or join the business, so treat these figures as of their publication date.

Why size matters

Large regional MLSs have more leverage in data licensing and rule-making — and are at the center of current disputes. Several of the MLSs above are plaintiffs or parties in the Compass–MLS lawsuits. Follow consolidation in Mergers & Consolidation and regional news in Regional MLS News.
